Proposal Daisakusen

After more than one month of being inactive, I decided to write again! Yay! XP
This time, I'm going to try to write a review for a J-Drama (Japanese Drama) entitled, "Proposal Daisakusen: Operation Love".

I came across this drama through my roommate. She was telling me about how amazing it was, how romantic it was, how funny it was, that I decided to try to watch it for her sake.

Genre: Romance, Drama with a bit of Comedy and Fantasy

Episodes: 11

The Plot:
Iwase Ken attends the wedding of her childhood friend and the "love of his life", Yoshida Rei. Not being able to profess his love to her even after being at her side for 14 years, he feels remorse and regret as he watches the slideshow of pictures being presented at the reception. As he is wallowing in his self-pity, a strange light fell upon him, and along with it, a strange man appeared by his side introducing himself as the "fairy" of the church. The fairy, sympathizing with Ken, decided to help him by allowing him go back in time through the pictures in the slideshow. The fairy said that he never met a man as remorseful as Ken, which is why he gave Ken the chance to relive the past once again and bring back the opportunities where he would be able to tell Rei how he really feels. And thus, Ken's time-slipping adventure begins, with the goal to change his fate as a miserable onlooker of his love's wedding.

My Opinion:
This is surely not your typical romance series. With a mixture of fantasy and comedy, this is definitely one of those non-stereotypical stories which would make you watch it till the end. With an addition of drama, this becomes a must-watch.

I am not a Nihonggo expert, but I liked the music from the drama. They really went together with the episodes like coffee and creamer.
Ken's shouting of Halleluja Chance!
becomes tiring after a while, but with each picture comes with a whole new hope of Ken finally being able to tell Rei his feelings. But every time he tries to do so, certain obstacles would hinder him, from external factors (disturbances due to their friends suddenly barging in) or internal factors (Ken's lack of self-confidence, which made me really frustrated over him). But as the slideshow went on, he manages to build up his confidence slowly, and managed to change certain circumstances and events in his past life, some for the better, some for the worse.

Will Ken be able to change his fate and get back the girl that he loves? Find out for yourself and watch! :D

NOTE: If you've reached episode 11 and was FRUSTRATED and DISAPPOINTED as I was, fret no more! There's a Proposal Daisakusen Special, so if you want MORE, I'd recommend the Special!!!

[YEah, yeah, I know. I'm not really that good at writing reviews... XP]
